NPRA's Certified Park and Recreation Executive (CPRE) certification establishes a national standard for managerial, administrative, and executive park and recreation professionals. This is a nationally accredited mastery-level certificate, and its the highest level a park and recreation professional can achieve. CPRE certification places you in the company of an elite group of park and recreation managers and professionals, demonstrates your knowledge and leadership as it relates to managing a recreation department, gives you prominence in the industry, and gives you an important advantage for your career advancement. To qualify for the CPRE exam, you must meet one the following NRPA eligibility requirements:
Who Should Attend: Professionals with CPRP certification seeking high-level administrative opportunities are encouraged to pursue CPRE designation to demonstrate leadership in all aspects of managing a park and recreation department.
What to Bring: Though it is not mandatory, it is highly recommended attendees purchase Management of Parks and Recreation from IPRA to supplement in-class learning and test preparation.
CEUs: Program approved for 0.6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs are for certifications such as CPRE, CPRP, and CTRS).
