Lunch & Learn: Parking Lot Concrete Overlays - aka "Whitetoppings"

Description

Concrete overlays of existing asphalt parking lots are becoming more widely implemented nationwide. By using the existing asphalt as a solid base, thinner sections of concrete can be placed directly on top of the existing parking lot in thickness usually around 3-4 inches. Using the existing asphalt in place becomes an engineering success in sustainability by eliminating haul-off and utilizing existing resources to create a superior concrete product that will serve 20-30 years of life without blowing up the budget. Presented by Jesse Jonas of Illinois Ready Mix Concrete Association, this session will describe how to enhance sustainability, improve durability, and provide practical techniques for managing overlay installations with existing infrastructure.

Registration deadline is Friday, March 21, 2025.


Who Should Attend: Professionals that manage facility maintenance, oversee parking lot and infrastructure improvements, or are involved in sustainable development projects.


How to Participate: The event will take place live via Zoom Webinar. Participants will receive a Zoom join link after the registration deadline passes.


CEUs: Event is not approved for CEUs (Continuing Education Units are for certifications such as CPRE, CPRP, CTRS).
