Youth & Day Camp Committee Meeting (TR)

Description

Located within IPRA's Therapeutic Recreation (TR) Section, the Youth & Day Camp Committee consists of a group of professionals that either specialize or work in and around camps at special recreation agencies.  If you are interested in joining the committee or simply wish to attend for educational and networking purposes, you are encouraged to register.

At this meeting, we’ll be revisiting our planned Summer Day Camp 2026 debrief and giving ourselves another opportunity to recap the summer together!  We’ll take some time to reflect on the highlights, challenges, trends, and overall successes of the summer across our youth and day camp programs. This will be a collaborative discussion, so please come prepared to share your thoughts and observations from the season.  Some topics to consider:  camper trends and observations, staff trends and experiences, parent feedback and trends, positive highlights and successes, challenges or struggles from the summer, things that worked well, things we may want to change or improve for future summers, questions or topics you’d like the group to discuss.

Please come prepared with questions, observations, and both positive and negative takeaways from the summer. The goal is to have an open conversation that helps us celebrate what went well while also identifying opportunities for growth as we begin looking ahead to future summers.

How to Participate: This meeting will be available for IPRA Members in the CommUnity.  Registered participants will receive access links the day prior.
