Lunch & Learn: A Guide to Building Your First Field

Description

Building a new synthetic turf field can feel overwhelming—especially if it’s your first time managing the process. This Lunch and Learn walks park and recreation professionals through a practical, step-by-step “new field workflow,” from early visioning and budgeting through design, permitting, contractor selection, and product decisions. Join FieldTurf to learn about key design considerations, such as field limits, runoff space, sport markings, aesthetics, and more. Understand how a simple scorecard approach can assist with comparing proofs and references, warranty considerations, recycling/sustainability planning, and performance criteria. Discover best practices for qualifying contractors and evaluating products. 

Registration deadline is 12:00 p.m. CST on Monday, February 23.

Who Should Attend: This session is ideal for those in facility and park maintenance, building and design, sports and equipment managers, and other such professionals.


How to Participate: The event will take place live via Zoom Webinar. Participants will receive a Zoom join link after the registration deadline passes. 


CEUs: Event is not approved for CEUs.


Watching the Recording: Lunch and Learn recordings are only available to LMS Subscribers on the IPRA University starting in March of 2026.
