SUMMARY:Diversity Section Board Meeting
DESCRIPTION:IPRA's Diversity Section consists of professionals aiming to expand the knowledge base and emphasize the importance of diversity in Parks\, Recreation\, Therapeutic Recreation and Forest Preserves. We focus on two focal points: 1) Diversity as it relates to the individual professionally and 2) diversity as it affects the agency and the communities it serves. We will examine our increasingly diverse communities and explore how we are and how we could be by addressing the issues and trends impacting various diversity variables: ethnicity\, gender\, sexuality\, age\, and disability. The section board meeting will feature reports from the Section Board and each committee Chair\, and an IPRA liaison will be in attendance to provide updates to the membership about news and events happening within the association. If you are interested in joining the section or simply wish to attend for networking and educational purposes\, you are encouraged to register. How to Participate: This meeting will be available for IPRA Members in the CommUnity.
