DESCRIPTION:Located within IPRA's Recreation (REC) Section\, the Senior Committee consists of a group of park district professionals that serve older adults.  This meeting will feature a presentation of "Intro to AI in Recreation" by Eileen O'Leary with Park Ridge Park District.  If you are interested in joining the committee or simply wish to attend for educational and networking purposes\, you are encouraged to register.Session Description:  This introductory virtual presentation provides a basic overview of how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be utilized within the Parks and Recreation field. Designed for beginners\, the session will explore how AI technology may help improve efficiency\, streamline operations\, and support various functions within recreation agencies and senior centers. Attendees will gain a general understanding of AI concepts and learn how emerging technologies could enhance services and day-to-day operations across different areas of the organization.Learning Objectives:\n1. With extensive experience in local government IT\, Eileen has led major technology initiatives focused on cybersecurity\, infrastructure modernization\, mobile device management\, cloud services\, facility technology integration\, and large-scale capital projects. Known for combining technical expertise with practical leadership\, Eileen is passionate about helping organizations leverage technology to improve operations\, security\, and community services.
