Sponsored by IPRA's Diversity (DIV) Section, Diversity Education Institute is designed to provide students and professionals of all experience levels a curriculum that increases DEI awareness and identifies tools to assist in the process of operationalizing DEI at their agency. This 4th annual program will begin with an keynote from Samyuktha Neeraja from the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology, followed by a track of sessions featuring respected industry practitioners and professional speakers presenting on topics such as generational stereotypes, vendor diversity, reparative justice, diversity marketing, and crafting a DEI statement. Come network with colleagues and keep the DEI discussion at the forefront in Illinois. This event is generously sponsored by the Illinois Park and Recreation Foundation (IPRF).
Location: Bolingbrook Park District's Ashburys at Boughton Ridge, located at 335 E Boughton Road in Bolingbrook.
Who Should Attend: Park and recreation, conservation, and forest preserve district professionals that are seeking to build and strengthen their foundation for DEI awareness and identify tools and resources that will help operationalize DEI at their agency.
