Certified Playground Safety Inspector Course - Fall 2024

Tuesday, October 15, 2024 8:00 AM - Thursday, October 17, 2024 11:30 AM (CDT)

Description

The CPSI course is a national certification program delivered by National Recreation and Park Association and co-hosted by the Illinois Park and Recreation Association. It is designed to train individuals on how to identify hazards on public playgrounds and playground equipment, prioritize those hazards by injury potential, and establish a playground safety program. This is a 3-day, in-person program that gives candidates the option to register for the course only (2 days), course and exam (3 days), or exam only (1 day). Regardless of work experience, it is highly recommended that candidates complete the course before taking the exam. If your job requires you to oversee playground equipment at schools or parks, or you are looking to further educate yourself on playground safety, you are encouraged to pursue this certification to help make playgrounds safer for kids.
