Lunch & Learn: Beyond the Ramp : Sensory Importance on a Playground
Lunch & Learn: Beyond the Ramp : Sensory Importance on a Playground
Tuesday, October 27, 2026 (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
Playground accessibility is more than mobility - it also requires sensory adaptation for visual, auditory, and cognitive differences. Join Play Design Scapes to discover how to enhance your playgrounds through sensory balance and integration, with child development in mind. Ensure that design is intentional with purposeful placement of sound panels and conscientious color choices in order to create a welcoming environment. Learn to view the playground from the perspective of users who are neurodivergent, are sensitive to sounds, live with visual impairment, and more. Bring your questions for a live Q&A at the end of this Lunch & Learn.
Registration closes at 12:00 p.m. CST on Monday, October 26.
