Youth & Day Camp Committee Meeting (TR)

Description

Located within IPRA's Therapeutic Recreation (TR) Section, the Youth & Day Camp Committee consists of a group of professionals that either specialize or work in and around camps at special recreation agencies. This discussion will focus on strategies to support and retain high-quality summer camp staff throughout the season. The committee will review approaches to staff appreciation, methods for maintaining positive morale during the busy camp months, and the potential implementation of a mid-summer “refresh” training to reinforce key skills and provide additional support. The conversation will also include best practices for maintaining clear and effective communication between supervisors and camp counselors. The goal is to identify opportunities to strengthen staff engagement, provide ongoing support, and promote a positive camp culture that benefits both staff and campers.  If you are interested in joining the committee or simply wish to attend for educational and networking purposes, you are encouraged to register.

How to Participate: This meeting will be available for IPRA Members in the CommUnity.  Registered participants will receive access links the day prior.
