• Brian McKenna - Superintendent of Parks
  Brian McKenna is a Park District Superintendent with more than 35 years of experience leading operations, capital projects, and community-focused initiatives across three park districts. He is known for aligning people, systems, and resources to deliver efficient, sustainable public services. A Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) for over 20 years, Brian also holds the Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) credential and serves as a Playground Maintenance Course Instructor for the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), delivering safety and maintenance training nationwide. Since 2014, he has contributed to national playground safety standards as a member of the ASTM F15.29 subcommittee and is a contributor to ParkZapp, a mobile inspection and compliance platform. At the NRPA National Conference, Brian serves on an expert panel discussing the use of AI in operations management and how agencies can prepare staff, systems, and culture before implementing a CMMS.
