Join us on Unplug IL Day (July 12th, 9am-1pm), as we kick off the summer 2025 Evanston Nature Passport program! Pick up your free Nature Passport and enjoy guided activities in natural areas throughout Evanston, including: fishing at Lovelace Park (10am-12pm), birding with binoculars at Perkins Woods (9am-11am), guided native plant ID at Clark Street Beach Bird Sanctuary (11am-1pm), food forest stewardship at Eggleston Park Food Forest (10am-12pm), and hiking trail stewardship at Canal Shores (8am-11am).
Then enjoy self-guided Nature Passport activities from July 12th-August 21st at all 8 natural areas, also including the Ladd Arboretum, Harbert-Payne Park, and Lighthouse Beach. This year, we are also highlighting Evanston's playgrounds that incorporate elements of nature play, as well as beautiful gardens that the public can visit.
