Description

Located within IPRA's Administration & Finance Section, the IT Networking Committee consists of park, recreation, and forest preserve professionals that either specialize or work in and around information technology. This event will feature a presentation on "Cisco Networking in Park Districts."  If you are interested in joining the committee or simply wish to attend for educational and networking purposes, you are encouraged to register.

Cisco Networking in Park Districts
Cisco is planning to cover the latest updates on their switching, wireless, MX, and IoT portfolio. This includes the newest Meraki-managed Catalyst hardware and their three operational states, the 9350s, Wi-Fi 7 with AI enhancements in the portfolio. Also, there’s new MX hardware, the ruggedized IE 3500s, which will be managed on the Meraki dashboard, plus the AXIS and Cisco integration! If time allows, we will cover any relevant Cisco live updates! More to come.

Speaker Bios:

Karis Green:  Karis is a Networking Solutions Engineer (SE) for public sector accounts in Chicagoland plays a critical role in supporting government, education, and healthcare organizations by delivering tailored networking solutions. She combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of public sector challenges to help clients modernize their networks, enhance security, and optimize infrastructure. Karis collaborates closely with sales teams and partners to address customer needs, validate technical requirements, and ensure seamless deployment of Cisco technologies. Danny Johnson:  Danny is a Networking Sales Specialist focused on public sector accounts in Illinois, bringing a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within government, education, and healthcare sectors. He is dedicated to helping public organizations modernize their networks, enhance security, and optimize infrastructure to meet evolving demands. Leveraging Cisco's comprehensive portfolio, Danny collaborates closely with clients to identify tailored solutions that align with their strategic goals and budget cycles. His expertise includes guiding procurement processes, facilitating technical discussions, and ensuring seamless deployment of networking technologies. Committed to building lasting partnerships, he strives to deliver value-driven outcomes that support the public sector’s mission to serve communities effectively and securely.
