Description

Located within IPRA's Administration & Finance Section, the IT Networking Committee consists of park, recreation, and forest preserve professionals that either specialize or work in and around information technology. This event will feature two presentations by Mishal Khan from Mindsight: "Forging Strong Security Leadership: A Top‐Down Approach" and "Strategic Budgeting for Cybersecurity Success."  If you are interested in joining the committee or simply wish to attend for educational and networking purposes, you are encouraged to register.

11:00am:  Presentation on "Strategic Budgeting for Cybersecurity Success"

Forging Strong Security Leadership: A Top‐Down Approach:
Building a resilient security posture begins with effective leadership. This session dives into the essential steps for developing robust security leadership within your organization. Attendees will gain practical insights into fostering a security consciousness and accountability culture by drawing on realworld examples and best practices. We'll revealpractical methods to identify and leverage untapped resources. By adopting a strategic approach, we'll explore aligning security initiatives with organizational objectives, ensuring maximum impact without unnecessary expenses. From reallocating existing funds to exploring cost‐effective solutions, attendees will leave with newfound confidence in their ability to fortify defenses and accurately predict future spending. Join us as we uncover the keys to unlocking hidden cybersecurity budgets and elevating your organization's resilience against emerging threats.
