Hosted by IPRA's Facility Management (FM) Section, the 9th Annual Facility Management Workshop is a one-day program designed to equip parks and recreation professionals with practical tools to elevate operations, foster collaboration, and strengthen leadership in facility management. Taking place on October 2, 2025, at the West Chicago Park District, the workshop features the keynote presentation, Superhero Service: Elevating Customer Service in Parks & Recreation by Hank Ebeling, which will empower attendees to lead with a service-first mindset and build high-performance teams that create standout experiences for their communities.

The day includes a variety of breakout sessions tailored to both foundational skills and emerging trends. Topics range from construction documents, capital planning, and interdepartmental collaboration to the latest in fitness trends, playground safety, and the rapid growth of pickleball. Attendees will also gain insights through a guided facility tour and peer networking opportunities. Whether you're new to the field or a seasoned professional, this event offers relevant, real-world strategies to help you grow as a leader and enhance the impact of your facilities.

Who Should Attend

Park and recreation, conservation, and forest preserve district professionals that oversee facilities and are looking to enhance their foundational knowledge of facility management.

Registration includes morning coffee and lunch. Dietary restrictions should be indicated on the registration form.

CEUs

Program is approved for 0.4 CEUs and will be awarded to those in attendance for the full day.
