This professional development opportunity begins with an in-person Academy Prep Session at the Naperville Park District, where participants will connect with peers and prepare for the online coursework and exam that follows. Topics covered in the course include youth sports philosophy, policies & procedures, volunteer management, child abuse and bullying prevention, parent management, conflict resolution, risk management, emergency preparedness, inclusion of children with disabilities, leadership, professional development plus more! Upon successful completion of both components, attendees will earn the nationally recognized Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA) credential.

Whether a seasoned administrator or emerging leader, the CYSA credential will strengthen your expertise and elevate your role in the community.
Food & Beverage
Registration includes a boxed lunch and a beverage that will be provided upon check-in at the Fort Hill Activity Center.
Course Materials
Attendees will receive a copy of the Academy Prep Session slidedeck. At the conclusion of the Prep Session, attendees will gain access to the Online Academy within the NAYS.ORG system. CYSA candidates will then have 60 days to review all materials and to take the essay/multiple-choice exam(s). The Online Academy is designed in 9 sections, with an exam attached to each section. This format allows CYSA candidates to complete 9 separate sections, in any order and at their own pace.
Certificate of Completion
Once the CYSA designation is earned, a CYSA packet that includes an original certificate and a CYSA polo-style shirt is mailed along with additional Information regarding continuing education opportunities, maintaining the CYSA certification and other NAYS initiatives.
CEUs
Program is approved for 0.4 continuing education units and will be awarded to those in attendance the full day.
