Executive Director Panel Q&A: You currently report to an Executive Director, and the next step in your career is a big one! What does that look like, and what questions do you have? This diverse panel of experts has professionals ranging from those in their first year as Executive Director to those with close to 20 years of experience. The routes they each took to landing their role as Executive Director were very different and so are the communities they serve. This interactive educational event will have a designated Q&A Panel portion with questions that are submitted by attendees that will be answered and elaborated on by the Executive Director Panelists.
Learning Objectives:
1. Discover the steps that were taken to move from a Superintendent or Director role into an Executive Director position.
2. Learn from newly hired Executive Directors what to expect in the first 6 months and how to prepare for those situations.
3. Identify ways to be successful in the role of Executive Director from those panelists with almost 50 years of combined Executive Director experience.
Post Panel: This Q&A portion will be followed by a short presentation on Perry Weather, a weather monitoring and alert system. Then for the lunch portion one Executive Director will be assigned per lunch table so that further in depth conversations and socialization can continue.
Lunch: Lunch for this event has been generously provided by Perry Weather. Upon registration, please select if you will be staying for lunch and your lunch selection.
