Description
Located within IPRA's Administration & Finance Section, the IT Networking Committee consists of park, recreation, and forest preserve professionals that either specialize or work in and around information technology. This event will feature presentations on "The Future of UCaaS" and "Important Changes in the PCI DSS v4.x." If you are interested in joining the committee or simply wish to attend for educational and networking purposes, you are encouraged to register.
Timeline:
10:00am: Introductions
10:05am: Presentation on "The Future of UCaaS" with John Irey
10:45am: Presentation on "Important Changes in the PCI DSS v4.x" with John Chirillo
11:45am: Lunch

The Future of UCaaS: This session will explore the current state of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), highlighting key market leaders and their positioning in today's landscape. John will provide insights into the competitive dynamics, recent innovations, and industry trends shaping the future of UCaaS. A focus will be on Microsoft Teams Calling, examining how organizations are leveraging it for voice communications and some of the challenges they face. If you're evaluating UCaaS options, this session will offer valuable takeaways to help navigate the evolving UCaaS market.

Important Changes in the PCI DSS v4.x: PCI DSS 4.0 refers to the latest version of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, a set of guidelines designed to protect sensitive cardholder data by ensuring secure handling, processing, and storage of credit card information across all organizations that process card payments; it aims to combat evolving cyber threats with updated security requirements like enhanced multi-factor authentication and a more flexible approach to risk assessment based on individual business needs.
