Description

Located within IPRA's Recreation (REC) Section, the Nature Committee consists of a group of professionals that specialize or work in and around nature centers and nature programming. Don't work at a nature center? Don't worry, we still have so much to offer to any program working to include nature into its recreational offerings.  If you are interested in joining the committee or simply wish to attend for educational and networking purposes, you are encouraged to register.

Timeline:
9:45am:  Check-in. Grab some coffee, tea, and a breakfast
10:00am:  Start with quick introductions
10:15am:  Open co-chair position discussion, Nature Commitee Resource Library Updates, IPRA Conference, Staff & Trainings, Fall & Winter Events- planning strategies, sustainability initiatives, & community engagement and Open Discussion, Q&As
11:15am:  Tour the newly reimagined Discovery Room at the Interpretive Center. Phase 1 completed in 2020; this is Phase 2  
11:30am:  Tour some of the other museum sites of The Grove
12:00pm:  If anyone is interested, we can all go out for lunch somewhere nearby together. We have some GREAT options!

CEUs: Event is not approved for CEUs (Continuing Education Units are for certifications such as CTRS, CPRE and CPRP certification).
