Nature Committee Meeting: Getting Down to Basics in Nature Programming

Nature Committee Meeting: Getting Down to Basics in Nature Programming

Friday, March 20, 2026 (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Located within IPRA's Recreation (REC) Section, the Nature Committee consists of a group of professionals that specialize or work in and around nature centers and nature programming. Don't work at a nature center? Don't worry, we still have so much to offer to any program working to include nature into its recreational offerings.  If you are interested in joining the committee or simply wish to attend for educational and networking purposes, you are encouraged to register.

Part 2- Channeling the Elements: Getting Down to Basics in Nature Programming:  Join us for an interactive session focused on connecting with the natural world through its four fundamental elements—Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. We’ll discuss hands-on, sensory-based activities and provide creative program ideas that bring these elements to life, perfect for inspiring nature programming for all ages for agencies with or without a traditional nature center. If you’re looking for new ways to engage your community’s connection to nature this meeting will provide practical, adaptable approaches centered on the core building blocks of the environment.

Members can click here to log into their accounts and opt-in to the Nature Committee list through Lists/Committees.  Not an IPRA member? Click here and join today!
