As of February 6, 2025 - PARK PURSUIT IS FULL.  You can add your team to the waitlist by clicking "Register," adding one team to the cart, fill in the information for your team of 4 and select the "Add to Waiting List" checkbox before processing.  If there is a cancellation and a spot opens up, we will contact your team.

The 18th Annual Park Pursuit, sponsored by IPRA's Recreation (REC) Section, is modeled after the Emmy Award-winning reality television series 'The Amazing Race'. The event provides park district professionals with the opportunity to engage in a half-day race where team building, healthy competition, and recreation take center stage. The objective is for teams to complete a series of mental and physical challenges in a race to finish the course ahead of the competition. Teams must consist of four participants. Come enjoy a day full of fun, team building, and networking with your colleagues. Registration is per team and includes a lunch, t-shirt, and course map/materials for each team member. All teams will be notified via email of the check-in/starting point of the event, and all participants will be required to complete a participation waiver before the start of the race.

Who Should Attend: Park and Recreation, Conservation, and Forest Preserve District Professionals

Team Registration:  You must have all four team members confirmed prior to registering, as you will need to enter contact information for each person upon registration.  Any team registration left blank will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.  *All team members must be confirmed by April 4 in order to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Cancellations: Refunds will be issued to requests received on or before April 24, 2025, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after April 24, 2025.

Participation Waiver: Each team member must complete a participation waiver prior to competing in the event. Registered members will receive an email one business day after registering with a link to an e-waiver.  Anyone that does not submit an e-waiver must fill one out at check-in the morning of the event.

Inclement Weather: In the event of inclement weather, all registered team members will be notified by 7:00 a.m. via email. There is no rain date for this event.

CEUs: Event is not approved for CEUs (Continuing Education Units are for CPRE, CPRP, or CTRS certification).
