Elevating Your Team to the Next Level
A Professional Development Plan is a well-organized tool designed to help individuals pinpoint their career objectives and enhance their professional abilities. Its foremost advantage is the ability to distinctly outline your staff's career ambitions. This plan empowers your leadership team to determine your staff’s professional plan, encompassing immediate and long-term goals. Such clarity is vital for effectively directing your energy and making informed choices regarding skill development, pursuing experiences, and future career steps of your Park Department. The focus of this session is to equip key frontline staff of the Park Department with strategies to improve their skills, explore new opportunities, and grow within the organization. We will discuss initiating this process with your team, involving Human Resources and key organizational leaders to support this plan. The session will also cover collaborating with Human Resources to implement the plan, aligning it with the district's objectives, and linking it to staff members' years of experience, certifications, and evaluation scores.

Learning Objectives:
1.  Clear goal setting with staff
2.  Skill development and enhancement of job tasks
3.  Structure approach to career progression
