Safe Zone Conversation: LGBTQ+

Safe Zone Conversation: LGBTQ+

Thursday, June 22, 2023 (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

In celebration of Pride Month (June), you are cordially invited to participate in IPRA's member-wide Safe Zone Conversation on the topic of LGBTQ+. A Safe Zone Conversation (SZC) is simply defined as civil dialogue amongst a group of people purposely engineered to discuss human topics that can be deemed sensitive, uncomfortable, or complex in nature. It is an environment of mutual respect and inclusivity, a safe place for people to speak their minds. If you’re looking for an opportunity to start OR continue the DEI discussion, or you want to learn more about the LGBTQ+ community, you are encouraged to join us as we bring together professionals from all regions of Illinois. Registration is limited to the first 40 people, so don't miss out!

How to Participate: The event will take place via Zoom and virtual join link will be emailed Wednesday, June 21st.

Pre-Event Survey: After registering, participants are asked to complete a survey about their experiences with LGBTQ+ at https://forms.gle/RqsGE3Bfy9H4zpH29. Responses are anonymous and are not shared outside the SZC facilitation team. Survey responses should be completed by June 20th.

CEUs:
This event is not approved for Continuing Education Units (Continuing Education Units are for certifications such as CPRE, CPRP, and CTRS).
